The ships had hull no's. from CA-32 (New Orleans) up to CA-44 (Vincennes)
Astoria, Quincy and Vincennes were sunk during the battle of Savo Islands in Aug 1942. The other 4 ships survived WW2.
1942 refit, with added AA (Quadruple 1.1 inch Guns) compared to the original design.
