1:1800 New Orleans Class Heavy Cruisers (1943)
The New Orleans class cruisers were a class of 7 ships of the United States Navy, build in the 1930s. The New Orleans class carried a total of 3 triple 8-inch guns turrets, a total of 9 guns.
The ships had hull no's. from CA-32 (New Orleans) up to CA-44 (Vincennes)
Astoria, Quincy and Vincennes were sunk during the battle of Savo Islands in Aug 1942. The other 4 ships survived WW2.
1943 refit, with updated AA (Quadruple 1.1 inch Guns to 40 mm Bofor) compared to the 1942 setup. One crane removed, different search-light tower and bridge, AA Mg setup added to the Aft-turret roof and the bow.
